NGN and Broadband Planning Tools

- To meet countries’ requests for assistance in the field of Network Planning
and particularly planning of the evolution to NGN ITU has defined
requirements to the NGN planning tools, divided in eight planning domains
and has evaluated several planning tools.
- Broadband Access is part of the NGN requirements and needs to be
carefully defined and modeled, so that corresponding planning tools could
be developed and applied.
- This presentation gives an overview of the use and application of broadband
planning tools suitable for NGN networks planning.
